I’m 3 days out from going on holiday for a week. This week, I have set my keyboard alight trying to get DBH finished before I go away. And… I’m going to fail.
I’ve reset the predicted word count of DBH to 150k, and that’s looking pretty likely. For a slightly more in depth progress report: I have just finished writing the big finale, and I still have at least 1 chapter of clean up and 2 chapters of wrap up left. Which may not sound like much but there’s a lot to cover.
So the good news is, DBH is rapidly speeding along towards its draft zero. What that means for me, is a draft where the story is written but no one else but me will ever see it. It will likely take at least a month of editing before I have a 1st draft I’m willing to let others read. We’re getting there!
